How you’ll make an impact: This is a unique opportunity to foster and support Industrial Design activities with new product development teams across projects and business units. This is a high visibility and high impact career opportunity. Provide technical expertise in the creation and execution of innovative designs, prototype new concepts, and support consistent and intuitive product experiences in partnership with Human Factors Engineering, Marketing, and various cross-functional business partners. Execute UI design guidelines to ensure consistent design and interaction elements across platforms and projects. Provide creative Industrial Design recommendations that align with and support design control activities for devices. Utilize user experience techniques to make intuitive interfaces that minimize user training and learning curves for medical devices. Lead in the improvement, design and optimization of medical devices, provide recommendations with increased complexity, and develop reports, based on user experience design principles that translate to innovative products. Support Industrial Design activities by partnering with external design partners and various stakeholders throughout the organization as needed. Identify, evaluate, manage, and provide guidance to stakeholders to implement consistent Industrial Design frameworks across a variety of devices. Proactively identify issues, achieve resolution, and resolve problems within the Industrial Design space. Create/update Industrial Design-related design control documents including requirement specs and risk documents with robust knowledge on design control requirements. Develop project plans to assess user experience and drive project results.
