Principal HR Business Partner

Hims & Hers,
$190,000 - $235,000Remote

About The Position

As Hims & Hers continues to scale, the complexity of our business, leaders, and organization continues to grow. We're looking for a Principal HR Business Partner to help shape what's next. This is a highly strategic role that requires exceptional business acumen as much as HR expertise. The right person will develop a deep understanding of our business, operating model, and leadership priorities, then translate that understanding into building organizations, leadership teams, and talent strategies that enable the business to move faster and scale effectively. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape not only organizational decisions, but how leaders think about organization, leadership, and talent. You'll bring an independent point of view, challenge assumptions, connect patterns others don't see, and help leaders navigate the moments that matter most. This role is equally about solving today's challenges and building the organizational capability needed for tomorrow. Success isn't defined by the number of decisions you support. It's defined by the quality of the organizations, leaders, and operating models you help build.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HRBP partnership in operational or complex environments
  • Significant experience partnering with senior business leaders in complex, high-growth organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading organization design, workforce planning, leadership development, and talent strategy.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical organizational solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leaders through credibility, thoughtful challenge, and a clear point of view.
  • Experience helping organizations navigate growth, transformation, and organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate organizational issues, connect patterns across the business, and proactively solve problems before they slow the organization down.
  • Strong executive presence with the confidence to coach leaders, challenge assumptions, and influence important business decisions.
  • A builder's mindset with a track record of creating scalable approaches that improve how organizations operate over time.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between long-term strategy and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape business strategy through organization design, leadership, and talent.
  • Lead organization design, workforce planning, and succession efforts that position the business for its next stage of growth.
  • Partner with leaders to design organizations that create clear ownership, accelerate decision making, and enable teams to scale.
  • Coach senior leaders through organizational change, leadership transitions, performance challenges, and other high-impact business moments.
  • Bring a clear, well-reasoned point of view to complex organizational decisions, helping leaders evaluate tradeoffs and move forward with confidence.
  • Identify emerging organizational risks and opportunities by connecting themes across leaders, teams, and the broader business before they become barriers to execution.
  • Build practical, scalable approaches that improve how leaders lead, how teams operate, and how the organization grows over time.
  • Partner closely with Recruiting, Compensation, Employment Legal, HR Operations, and other People leaders to ensure business decisions are supported with thoughtful, integrated People strategies.
  • Raise the standard for HR partnership by modeling exceptional business thinking, organizational insight, and leadership influence while helping develop other HRBPs across the team.
  • Master, own, and interpret People programs (e.g., Compensation, Legal, Performance) to provide authoritative guidance to the business, knowing that strategic partnership at this level is built on a foundation of operational excellence.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
