HR Business Partner / Principal HR Business Partner- Palmdale CA
About The Position
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Production, Engineering Operations (PE&O) HR organization. The position will be full-time, on-site and located at Palmdale, CA with expectations to support off-shift and weekends. This key HRBP role will join a team supporting PE&O leaders and employees. The selected candidate will be the focal point to consult on and assist in the development and implementation of HR strategy, initiatives, programs, and policies across multiple client groups, including talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, succession planning, organization and staff development, leadership/bench strength development, staffing, EEO and other areas within the HR body of knowledge. The implementation of these programs will be through proficient leadership and project management skills and close collaboration with HR subject matter experts. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for project management of HR projects, and must demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple projects simultaneously on various topics within HR work streams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years of Human Resources experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet business needs
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of Human Resources experience OR Masters degree and 3 years of Human Resources experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet business needs
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs (e.g., succession planning, workforce development, compensation, and EEO) that align with business goals.
- Lead, plan, and execute multiple concurrent HR projects from inception to completion, driving organizational change and process improvements.
- Drive talent identification, performance management, and career development initiatives to build bench strength and enhance employee retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor to build a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Work closely with HR peers, leaders, and Centers of Excellence (COE’s) including compensation, employee relations, legal, and organization effectiveness to deliver seamless HR solutions across the organization.
- Effectively engage with a geographically dispersed leadership team, demonstrating strong cross-cultural awareness.
