About The Position

The Electrical Systems Engineer serves as a technical lead for HealthCast R&D programs, developing and supporting projects while working closely with Product Owners to ensure product requirements are implemented and system designs meet product needs. The role promotes a system-of-systems perspective across products and R&D teams to deliver portfolio-level features and integrations. The position is responsible for translating concepts into fully functional, tested products; coordinating subsystem development and interfaces; and delivering technical solutions that meet clinical and non-clinical needs. The engineer works across electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing disciplines, as well as with external design and manufacturing partners. The work includes documenting requirements and design outputs, applying relevant medical-device standards, conducting testing and validation, optimizing designs for cost and manufacturability, and supporting product lifecycle stage gates through development, manufacturing, release, and launch. The role also contributes to organizational initiatives involving connectivity and AI. The posting describes a general office-role environment involving computer use, interaction with peers and coworkers, and independent mobility. The position offers a U.S. base salary range of $140,800 to $211,200 and is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan. Benefits are described for eligible regular employees, with some benefits depending on hours worked.
