Reporting to the General Manager, the Principal Geologist provides senior technical leadership for geology in preparation for, and in support of, feasibility-level studies for the Galore Creek Project. This position acts as the technical authority for geoscience, responsible for study integration, mineral reporting, and geological risk management, ensuring that geological inputs are fit-for-purpose, defensible and aligned with project objectives and down-stream studies. The successful candidate will integrate geologic expertise with the GCMC technical group (including geotechnical engineering, mine planning, infrastructure, metallurgy and process engineering and water management) to support priority feasibility study objectives and decision-making. The position can be based out of Vancouver or Smithers, British Columbia, with some travel to the Galore Creek Uhtlān Camp, a remote fly-in camp located in northwestern British Columbia. GCMC will provide travel from Vancouver to Uhtlān Camp. Located in northwestern British Columbia, Galore Creek is one of the world’s largest undeveloped porphyry copper-gold-silver deposits.
