Principal Full Stack Engineer
About The Position
The Principal Full Stack Engineer will contribute to a team focused on fraud prevention and identity verification for people contacting Fidelity on behalf of nonprofits, volunteers, advisors who work with donors, and family members. The team explores technologies to build secure applications and make safe changes across the user interface, middle tier, and backend database interactions. This is a 12-month project for Fidelity Investments, based onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina, every other week; local candidates are required. The stated rate is $75–$80 per hour on W-2. Interviews are conducted in two virtual rounds.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on technical contribution experience producing clean, unit-tested, and maintainable code.
- Experience mentoring junior staff and defining coding standards and best practices.
- Proven expertise applying software engineering architecture and design patterns, including object-oriented, functional, and REST patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Java and the Spring framework.
- Solid understanding of SQL and object-relational mapping tools such as Hibernate.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Angular.
- Must be local to Raleigh, North Carolina.
