About The Position

Liberty Mutual Investments Technology is seeking a Principal Front-Office Engineer to serve as the technical lead embedded within the Investment Innovation, Integration & Trading (I3T) team. The role drives the design and implementation of small-scale proofs of concept and prototypes supporting the fixed income portfolio, investment analysis, AI-enabled workflows, and reporting systems and processes. The engineer partners closely with analysts and investment teams to improve their day-to-day use of AI, help them build technically sound artifacts, and turn prototypes into robust, production-ready applications. This is a hands-on software architect and builder role focused on designing systems, iterating rapidly, and delivering quality solutions for analytics, reporting, and investment decision-making. It is suited to a senior or lead individual contributor who wants to drive technical direction without moving into management. The Boston-based position has a hybrid work arrangement, with three days per week in the office.
