About The Position

Marvell is seeking a talented Semiconductor Foundry Engineer to interact with local and overseas wafer foundries for supplier selection, qualification, monitoring, risk assessment, development, and corrective action. The candidate will collaborate closely with design and product engineers across Marvell's global design centers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related fields.
  • Minimum 10+ years of related professional experience.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and processing technologies.
  • Solid understanding of planar waveguide optics, both passive and active photonic components.
  • Good understanding of CMOS manufacturing process and constraints on the design of photonic devices.
  • Good knowledge of inspection, testing and failure analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of analysis tools such as FMEA, SPC, Cpk and DOE.
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and excellent structural problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law.

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with foundry partners to define and develop semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Drive process optimization and improvement initiatives to enhance yield, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead technology transfer activities from R&D to production, ensuring smooth transitions and successful ramp-ups.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze manufacturing data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to address process excursions and yield issues.
  • Support mask tapeout and engineering wafer runs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with foundry partners, fostering collaboration and alignment on technology roadmaps and objectives.
