About The Position

This role embeds with enterprise customers to build custom AI-powered workflows for content creation, leveraging Adobe Firefly Services, Firefly Creative Production, and Adobe Brand Intelligence. The Principal Forward Deployed Creative Technologist (FDCT) is responsible for landing challenging engagements, setting the technical and creative bar, and mentoring other FDCTs. This is a hands-on role for technical creators who ship, get used, and improve those around them.

Requirements

  • A track record of driving repeat, at-scale adoption in resistant user bases, fractured stacks, and high-stakes renewals.
  • Experience setting technical or creative direction, not just executing existing specifications.
  • C-suite credibility to hold discussions with CMOs, CIOs, and CTOs, translating technical concepts to business value.
  • Creative content supply-chain craft at architect depth, including brand systems, design tokens, master-to-variant pipelines, brand compliance, and agency-to-brand handoffs.
  • Ability to debug fractured creative-operations setups.
  • Experience with architecture and production code, including thin front-ends, light back-ends, custom nodes, and multi-system orchestration.
  • A public portfolio (link or PDF) showcasing shipped creative and technical work.
  • Daily use of AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot, with the ability to craft effective prompts and identify incorrect output.
  • Exploration of frontier AI technologies like ComfyUI, n8n, LangGraph, and MCPs.
  • High EQ and low ego.
  • 12+ years of experience straddling creative production and technical building.
  • Ability to travel 20-30%.

  • Proficiency in the Adobe ecosystem (AEM, Workfront, Frame.io, App Builder).
  • Depth in Figma plugin/API/MCP development.

Responsibilities

  • Land strategic top-tier customer engagements, including first engagements in new verticals and multi-year arcs that define the organization's reputation.
  • Drive adoption in challenging environments, including resistant users and fractured stacks, turning at-risk flagship accounts into desirable ones.
  • Set the technical and creative direction, including architecture, technology choices, and reusable patterns.
  • Hold C-suite discussions with CMOs, CIOs, and CTOs, translating AI and content supply chain complexity into business value.
  • Bring deals and renewals to closure.
  • Set roadmap direction, own workarounds for product gaps, and drive fixes.
  • Chase cross-team dependencies to ensure progress.
  • Mentor other FDCTs through live working sessions, code reviews, and internal masterclasses.
  • Create and demo original work, including scripting, producing, and editing demos that become organizational references.
