About The Position

Under administrative direction, coordinates, monitors, and directs a variety of administrative and analytic duties related to the Office of the Superintendent, including the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and the Board of Education. This is a promotional opportunity open to current permanent LACOE employees who have passed their initial probationary period or those on a re-employment list for LACOE. The resulting eligibility list will be unranked.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, public administration, communications or other field related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Five years of experience as a staff, administrative, or personal assistant for a superintendent, senior executive, or cabinet member of a school district or County Office of Education.
  • This classification works on the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and Board’s schedule which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.
  • A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between work sites may be required.
