About The Position

PatientPoint Network Solutions LLC seeks a Principal Engineer to design and develop scalable, cloud-native software and AI/ML-powered full-text and vector search services. The role involves building event-driven microservices, distributed data-processing pipelines, high-performance NoSQL storage and streaming solutions, and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs across AWS and Azure. The position is authorized for 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the United States, with 10% travel to the Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters for company and team meetings at least five times a year, for three to four days at a time. The Principal Engineer drives long-term technology strategies, mentors engineering teams, and ensures systems are robust, maintainable, secure, and aligned with Twelve-Factor App principles and compliance standards. The role includes integrating and optimizing AI/ML models for real-time services, designing systems and frameworks with long-term value, influencing engineering processes and standards, supporting technical audits, maintaining solution-design documentation, and promoting a security-first culture. The engineer also works with application development teams on data strategies, data flows, and conceptual data models. The position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and five years of experience in the job offered or a related field. The annual salary is $190,000 to $210,000.
