About The Position

This is a US-based remote opportunity for a Principal Engineer in the Risk Analysis team. The role involves performing Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems, evaluating potential vulnerabilities to various risks and hazards. Assessments may support both domestic and international operating plants, as well as new reactors in the design phase. The position requires leading global project teams, presenting technical topics to customers and regulatory bodies, supporting strategic initiatives, and mentoring early-career engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 10+ years professional experience with minimum 7 years of experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants.
  • Knowledge of PWR reactor operations.
  • Knowledge of Internal/External Hazards PRAs
  • Knowledge of Level 2 PRAs
  • Knowledge of Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
  • Knowledge of Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
  • Proficiency with PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer license considered a plus.
  • Peer Review experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems; evaluating a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.). Assessments may support both domestic and international operating plants, as well as new reactors still in the design phase.
  • Lead global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution in various roles (author, mentor, verifier), as well as meeting schedule and financial objectives.
  • Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings, and pursue target product markets.
  • Mentor early-career engineers and lead initiatives for knowledge management and retention.
