About The Position

Lead project teams and the wider group to achieve successful project outcomes, ensuring all objectives are met. Mentor and guide colleagues, promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and effective delegation within the team. Collaborate with clients, architects, and other team members as part of a committed and skilled group to deliver top-tier solutions. Supervise the creation of detailed design drawings, specifications, site observation reports, schedules, and other project deliverables to maintain the highest quality standards. Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing their needs and ensuring overall satisfaction. Manage multiple projects across the group, ensuring engineering solutions are successfully implemented and financially viable. Uphold the highest standards of technical quality, staying updated with industry advancements and best practices. Ensure engineering practices, policies, and services align with clients' best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes. Contribute to delivering profitable projects by monitoring financial performance, resources, and expenditures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering design within the building services and construction sectors.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of building codes and mechanical design principles.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects across various sectors and regions.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and good understanding of other MEP building systems, with the ability to investigate and solve technical challenges.
• Skilled in designing high-performance buildings using electrified design solutions for both adaptive reuse and new projects, with an understanding of how design solutions impact a building's carbon footprint and a project's commercial viability.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation or equivalent professional certification.
• Proven leadership experience within an MEP Engineering Consultancy or related field.
• Expertise in mentoring and coaching junior engineers to foster growth and development within the team.

Nice To Haves

• LEED AP accreditation is preferred, showing a commitment to sustainable design practices.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Revit for detailed design drawings and computational analysis tools like CFD and energy modeling software to develop innovative and energy-efficient solutions.
