About The Position

As a Principal Industrial Engineer, you’ll collaborate with other members of the Industrial Engineering department, Advanced Module Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing/Operations Engineering & Product Integration teams to support Capital Expenses, assist with fab capacity data and ultimately improve factory output and reduce cycle time. Clear communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This role is fully onsite at our Fab 8, Malta, NY facility.

Requirements

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science discipline
  • Minimum 4-year relevant technical experience for a high-volume manufacturing company, preferably semiconductor wafer manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a cross-functional teams
  • Travel Requirements: up to 10%
  • Language Fluency: English (both Written & Verbal)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing science discipline
  • Knowledge of Factory Physics and Principles
  • Experience in a Wafer Fab or High-Volume Manufacturing Facility
  • Knowledge of or training in Capacity Planning
  • Lean six sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Understand Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity/cycle time
  • Update and run the capacity model for both ramp plans and new product analyses
  • Analyze capacity output and make recommendations on fab tooling purchases, retrofits or transfers
  • Understand and execute on capital processes and support capital execution/tracking
  • Create detailed documentation of business processes, IE specifications, and operating procedures
  • Support various departments in improving factory output using advanced analytics
  • Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other project technical teams
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by manager / supervisor
