As a Principal Industrial Engineer (IE) of the Product and Systems Engineering Organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support HBM product development activities and work with Product Development Team Leads (PDTLs), multi-functional Planning organizations to solve complex problems. Your key functions include executive level updates for HBM NPI material forecasts and current quarter Flash re-projections, early product life-cycle demand modelling, scenario builds for new targets captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget to ensure successful product qualification), and optimization of multi-functional business processes. Additional functions include development of new reporting and analytics, collaboration with global and multi-functional teams in support of product development demands, enabling new product flows and manufacturing exceptions, and assisting with data attribute analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Engineering relevant field, Industrial Engineering, with proven experience in NPI material planning or combination of relevant NPI demand planning experience and education.
  • Knowledge of Product Line Demand Management processes.
  • Strong data analytical background including oversight of data visualization development in Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience with High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) is encouraged.
  • Understanding of fab workload management and forecasting tools and applications

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with partners across the Technology & Products Group, Global Supply Chain, Fab Partners, and Business Units to assemble and model HIG product development requirements
  • Design and/or improve models as needed in order to enable accurate and effective data representative of HIG PSE product development requirements
  • Collaborate with Product Development Team and support PDT requests for modeling demand based on multiple and multifaceted variables.
  • Analyze data, make data driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups
  • Forecast long-term engineering demand and ensure demand records are as specific as vital to meet requirements, including special flow requirements and exceptions
  • Support definition of efficient logistical flows for ever-evolving Eng solutions. Includes new product flow definition, attribute creation and maintenance
  • Lead engineering inventory and product line cleanup
