As an Engineer of Embedded software you will design, develop, operate and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft flight control and display systems, pacemakers, defibrillators, mechanical and electrical systems. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience (for Principal Engineer)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 year of experience (for Senior Principal Engineer)
  • Must be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirement
  • Secret clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Experience with software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance
  • Experience leading Software Engineering teams
  • Experience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket and working in cross-functional Scrum team
  • Experience in software development using languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, Docker

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Deliverables Management
  • Active Secret clearance with SAP Access
  • Experience with Software Testing Process
  • Experience in Software Test Planning
  • Current and active Secret security clearance with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
  • Green Hills INTEGRITY RTOS: Experience with INTEGRITY-178, including task management, partitioning, and resource allocation.
  • Green Hills MULTI IDE: Experience with MULTI IDE for debugging, tracing, and profiling on target hardware.
  • Understanding of RMS scheduling for RTOS
