About The Position

Workday is seeking a highly qualified Principal Enablement Architect to join their Global Customer Operations Enablement team. This role is a pivotal opportunity to drive the transformation of the Revenue organization's performance through skill, process, tool, and revenue leadership development. The position combines strategic thought leadership, hands-on enablement program design, and innovative technology integration to achieve efficiency and revenue impact. The role focuses on two key areas: Functional Enablement Strategy & Architecture (50%), where the architect will drive revenue enablement strategy, focusing on 1-2 major strategic projects at a time across skill development, process optimization, tool adoption, and revenue leadership development. They will evaluate, structure, and evolve enablement programs to meet the dynamic needs of Sales Development, Pre-Sales, Sales, and Customer Success audiences, championing AI-powered enablement solutions. The second area is Expert Enablement Program Authoring and Management (50%), where the architect will apply performance consulting and learning design expertise to build and deliver complex enablement experiences, creating and managing a portfolio of online, blended, instructor-led, and AI-powered solutions.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of corporate experience in enablement, performance consulting, or instructional design, with a portfolio of high-quality, complex programs built to drive behavioral and metric-driven change
  • 5+ years of experience leading large, complex revenue enablement projects with diverse global decision-makers and collaborators in a fast-paced, technology-first environment
  • 5+ years of experience developing comprehensive enablement content, such as sales playbooks, go-to-market strategies, process guides, methodology training, and leadership coaching frameworks for diverse global audiences
  • 2+ years experience applying enterprise-level AI tools and a demonstrated track record of learning the AI landscape quickly to enhance productivity, coaching, and content creation in an enablement context

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of B2B revenue methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, Value Selling), customer lifecycle processes, and coaching frameworks
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root-cause performance gaps
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels, particularly with senior Revenue leaders.
  • Ability to work independently, drive focused initiatives, and mentor others
  • Deep knowledge of enablement analytics, leading/lagging indicators, and reporting leveraging AI
  • Hands-on experience with Enablement platforms (e.g., Highspot, Seismic; Gong, Clari Co-Pilot; Second Nature, Hyperbound) and Learning Management Systems (Workday Learning preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional technical learning agility to rapidly ingest, analyze, and transform complex technical and commercial frameworks into actionable enablement programs.
  • Thrive in a modern, AI-first enterprise technology ecosystem, seamlessly bridging the gap between deep technical capabilities and strategic revenue motions, while staying current with industry-leading sales methodologies, customer success frameworks, and leadership coaching motions.
  • Drive the design and development of complex and strategic enablement solutions for a global customer operations audience inclusive of field sales, customer success, and other supporting roles within your assigned project areas.
  • Synthesize GTM strategies, product documentation, sales methodologies, process documentation, and tool workflows to design and execute on comprehensive playbooks, coaching guides, and training paths.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create innovative and impactful experiences that successfully drive behavioral change.
  • Actively experiment and integrate AI tools into enablement workflows, coaching programs, and learning design to significantly boost productivity, personalization, efficiency, and scale across the revenue organization.
  • Collaborate extensively with senior business leaders, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Partner with the broader Enablement team to align on best practices, and guide and coach instructional designers who spend their time building these experiences in a variety of modern authoring tools.
  • Independently manage several large-scale, high-priority enablement transformations at a time, ensuring adherence to aggressive timelines, measurable performance outcomes, and exceptional quality.
