Worley is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex industrial power distribution and power generation projects in a senior technical leadership role. The position is based in Houston, Texas, with typical travel of 10%–15%. The engineer will guide critical technical decisions, oversee project execution from concept through commissioning, and work as a trusted partner to customers, project managers, vendors, and internal teams. Working knowledge of instrumentation and controls is needed to coordinate broader EIC execution, but deep expertise in every I&C specialty is not required. The role leads electrical engineering execution for EPC projects involving industrial power distribution, power generation, and related facility infrastructure. It directs and reviews electrical design deliverables, analyses, and construction packages for technical quality, constructability, and compliance with project requirements. The engineer coordinates electrical, instrumentation, and controls scope across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup, and manages scope, priorities, schedules, and technical interfaces with project stakeholders. The position also leads or oversees power system studies and electrical deliverables such as single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding, lighting, and cable documentation. It provides technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers, supports safe and timely project delivery, and contributes technical credibility and practical solutions to business development and customer relationship efforts. Worley describes its work as supporting customers through the project lifecycle and helping them transition to more sustainable solutions.
