Raytheon's Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, test and support to the production builds of multiple Raytheon products. We develop new technologies for advanced capabilities and provide support to all life-cycle phases of the best radar systems in active worldwide deployments and grow our people with exciting new challenges, on-the-job training, mentoring and purposeful rotations. We have an opportunity for a Principal Electrical Design & Production Product Lead seeking to lead the resolution of design, build, and test issues of REPA Receiver Exciter products.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and test.
  • Experience leading analysis / Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations; Preferably with supplier and factory issues.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters.
  • Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive design and operational requirements
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience.
  • Experience leading and growing a multi-discipline engineering team.
  • Experience working in both engineering design and production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical investigation and resolution of design, build, and test issues identified on Receiver Exciter subsystems, CCAs, and components.
  • Lead the circuit and sub-system analysis, modeling, simulation, and verification required to mitigate production build and test issues
  • Lead the transition to production of REPA products
  • Lead small project or processes improvements within your area of responsibility
  • Lead circuit card and subassembly design updates to resolve obsolescence and producibility issues.
