Position Summary The Principal Development Engineer steers our software development through complex projects, blending deep technical expertise with leadership skills to fulfill customer demand. We are currently seeking a skilled Principal Development Engineer (Software, Firmware) to navigate through complex projects with precision and foresight. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on Software and firmware Engineering Experience in cybersecurity
  • 10+ years expertise with C/C++ and a solid understanding of embedded systems, and hardware interfaces.
  • Extensive working knowledge in Linux.
  • Experience in software and firmware design, security concepts and micro services.
  • Secure development practices for HSMs along with performance fine tuning for crypto firmware applications.
  • CI/CD (GIT, CI/CD, Jenkins)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development life cycle, agile methodology, and architectural principles.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively articulate technical vision, strategy, and outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills, adept at managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • A commitment to quality, with a meticulous eye for detail and a methodical mindset to ensure that we deliver excellent products consistently.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in embedded software development.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity and cryptographic algorithms and protocols, including vulnerability scanning and management.
  • Expertise with Linux OS, Docker containers and virtualization

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely delivery of embedded firmware and software features as part of GA releases that meet our rigorous quality standards. You will be directly responsible for seeing through our product commitments from conception to deployment.
  • Play a crucial role in shaping our product's technical future by contributing to the development of robust, scalable product (firmware, software) architectures.
  • Take a proactive role in setting project priorities and breaking down complex features, aligning your efforts with our product's long-term vision and immediate goals.
  • Lead by example, interacting with our engineering team, customer support, sales engineers, and product management through hands-on collaboration, code reviews, answering questions, and sharing best practices.
  • Identify and address technical challenges, facilitating effective collaboration across teams to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
