About The Position

As Principal Delivery Manager - Marketing, you will work with a team dedicated to delivering the future of mobility, energy, and services for our customers globally through innovative business models and service platforms. You will collaborate with colleagues who serve millions of customers at over 20,000 fuel sites and convenience stores worldwide, as well as a rapidly growing network of electric vehicle charging points. Working in the Technology team, you will partner with a set of regional convenience retail businesses across the world to support and develop a compelling portfolio of technology products, platforms & services. Together, you will differentiate customer experiences and deliver breakthrough business value. Your teams in Technology will be responsible for: Improving Digital CX: Running & enhancing B2C digital channels, including bp's mobile app, BPme, and any technology capabilities that underpin global loyalty programs and marketing initiatives - web platforms, loyalty systems, marketing technology. API Development: APIs that provide data and capabilities within marketing & loyalty platforms to both digital channels and in support of implementing marketing initiatives. Customer Insights & Execution: a suite of marketing tools for consumer segmentation, campaign management, and execution, ensuring effective B2C marketing strategies. Framework and Platform Development: common frameworks and platforms (Digital Channels, Martech, Loyalty Platform) to facilitate new features and enhance consumer engagement across various regions.

Requirements

  • Track record operating at strategic leadership level—delivering complex, multi-regional products, platforms, and services, and enabling organisational change.
  • Digital consumer experience expertise across mobile technologies, customer data management, customer insights, and broader marketing technology solutions.
  • Experience in technology and programme delivery, with a track record of applying Agile, Lean, and project delivery methods at scale.
  • Strong commercial and financial management capability, including budget ownership and value-focused investment decisions.
  • A data-driven approach to prioritisation and delivery, using insights and metrics to drive decisions and outcomes.
  • Proven experience delivering across complex, globally dispersed, matrixed organisations and partner ecosystems.
  • Ability to balance strategic intent with hands-on execution, maintaining pace, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, able to engage a broad range of collaborators up to EVP level and translating technical detail for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving mentality, with the drive to navigate ambiguity, remove blockers, and make things happen.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary squads (product, design, delivery, data, and engineering) to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Curiosity and vision for how AI can reshape consumer marketing and marketing technology—identifying where it can improve customer experience, operations, and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional product and engineering squads delivering a portfolio of global digital products, platforms, and services for consumer marketing, loyalty, and engagement.
  • Partner with Global Marketing and regional businesses to increase footfall and spend through improved consumer experience and marketing effectiveness.
  • Own delivery governance end-to-end: define roadmaps and plans, manage scope/schedule/dependencies/risks, and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
  • Align partners globally and embed Agile ways of working to enable continuous delivery of value.
  • Monitor product and service health (performance, compliance, operational readiness) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion transparency by showcasing work in progress and incorporating regular feedback from collaborators and users.
  • Manage internal teams, suppliers, and technology partners to balance capacity, capability, and quality across the portfolio.
  • Own budget and financial performance (planning, allocation, cost control, reporting), maximising value and proactively mitigating delivery and financial risk.
