Principal Chief Data Architect is responsible for defining and governing the enterprise data architecture strategy, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric as core components of the data platform ecosystem. This role ensures data architecture enables scalable analytics, AI, customer insight, and regulatory compliance while driving modernization and long-term value realization. The role operates as a trusted technical and strategic partner to executive leadership. A Delivery Executive is responsible for a single engagement or domain within an account and acts as Delivery Executive for business critical engagements. The Delivery Executives responsibilities include stakeholder's management or communication with the client, developing strong relationship with key client IT stakeholders, managing risks and client relationships and acting as first escalation instance for the EM, both internally and towards the client. They are responsible for overall delivery profitability and productivity, establishing a proper governance framework and ensures proper reporting. They will lead commercial management and take part to contract negotiation along with seeking to expand Capgeminis client footprint by identifying and anticipating and driving business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in data architecture, with significant experience at enterprise scale (Azure and Fabric focus)
  • Proven leadership in data platform strategy, modernization, or transformation
  • Experience influencing decisions at executive and board levels
  • Hands-on understanding of analytics, cloud data platforms, and data governance
  • Enterprise data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Cloud data platforms and modern integration patterns
  • Analytics, BI, AI/ML enablement architectures
  • Data governance, security, privacy, and compliance
  • SDLC and production-grade data delivery
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution orientation
  • Able to influence without direct authority
  • Communicates complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Pragmatic, outcome-focused, and business-driven
  • Confirmed Delivery Executive with 5+ years of experience in the role, for a large or international account covering a large part of the Capgemini portfolio and containing multi tower engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise data architecture vision, principles, and target-state roadmap aligned to business strategy.
  • Establish architectural standards leveraging Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric for analytics, integration, and AI.
  • Ensure architectural decisions balance scalability, cost, security, and agility.
  • Partner with C-suite, business leaders, and domain owners to translate strategic priorities into data architecture capabilities.
  • Advise leadership on data investment decisions, trade-offs, and long-term implications.
  • Act as a trusted authority on how data architecture enables revenue, efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Guide design and evolution of cloud/on-prem/hybrid data platforms.
  • Define patterns for ingestion, transformation, analytics, ML/AI, and data sharing.
  • Ensure platforms are production-ready, resilient, and cost-optimized.
  • Architect enterprise approaches to data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, privacy, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Champion trusted, auditable data as a foundational enterprise asset.
  • Define the data architecture operating model, including decision rights, standards, and engagement with delivery teams.
  • Provide architectural guidance and guardrails without slowing delivery.
  • Mentor senior architects and elevate data architecture maturity across teams.
