•$114,600 - $234,600

About The Position

Oracle is hiring a Principal Data Hall Designer to lead data center white space and infrastructure design, supporting projects from concept through execution. The role develops and maintains detailed room layouts, rack elevations, bills of materials, structured cabling designs, design standards, and Basis of Design documents. It also reviews site layouts, fit-out designs, and failover configurations to ensure they meet applicable standards. The designer works with colocation providers, developers, internal teams, and multidisciplinary engineering functions to translate requirements into executable designs. The role coordinates project teams, contractors, and vendors through design, fit-out, and commissioning; provides contract-administration guidance; and mentors junior engineers. It also supports site validation, commissioning, engineering analysis, live events, and incident investigations, while ensuring documentation is shared with operations and field engineering teams. The position contributes to global infrastructure standards and commissioning protocols, evaluates new designs and construction methods, develops and tests engineering solutions, and creates and validates digitized data center models for design integrity and capacity planning. The role collaborates with networking and software engineering teams on network-related work, automation, and the coordination of design data with internal systems and databases. It also includes project coordination, process improvement, learning and knowledge sharing, and participation in candidate interviews and assessments. The role involves travel to new and existing data centers. Oracle lists a U.S. hiring range of $114,600 to $234,600 per annum; the role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package, with eligibility and details varying by role and circumstances.
