About The Position

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Data Analyst, Business Banking Analytics for its Johnston, Rhode Island location. This role owns the roadmap, build, enhancement, and maintenance of strategic data products that drive business decision making. The Principal Data Analyst will own multiple data products and work alongside others to conceptualize, design, and build strategic solutions, ensuring products meet approved architecture patterns and governance. This includes managing linkages with centralized assets and engineering teams, such as Salesforce, Master Data Management, and other Internal Customer Databases. The role is responsible for supporting a wide range of data analysis functions and performing ad hoc analysis to support strategic business needs. Additionally, the Principal Data Analyst will enable hardened data for business banking, allowing for insightful analytics to be consumed by data scientists and other advanced analytics professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position
• Designing, testing, and deploying ETLs
• Performing root cause analyses and defect resolutions
• Fine tuning long running ETL jobs and SQL queries
• Building reusable ETL components and implementing push down optimization for performance enhancement
• Implementing disaster recovery and data security policies, including data tokenization solutions for EDW Datawarehouses
• Implementing platform migration projects and orchestration tool migration projects
• Building Spark applications for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation with multiple file formats
• Migrating data using Sqoop from HDFS to Relational Database System
• Implementing Hadoop Eco-system components
• Deploying encryption techniques, compression, and replication for data processing needs
• Analyzing and addressing ETL transformation performance issues

Responsibilities
