Zoom is looking for a highly strategic and experienced Principal Corporate Development Manager with a background in product strategy and domain expertise in AI to drive our company’s growth initiatives through acquisitions and strategic investments. This role requires a unique combination of corporate development expertise and product management depth to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that align with the company’s strategic goals and product vision. The ideal candidate has a mix of M&A expertise, product strategy experience, and deep understanding of AI-driven technology and business models. About the Team The Corporate Development team is part of the larger Corporate Strategy organization within Zoom. You will join a talented and diverse team driving Zoom’s corporate strategy, corporate development, venture investments, and strategic business development. The team identifies and executes on the company’s most critical business initiatives with a strong ownership mindset, quantitative rigor and a culture of collaboration. We operate at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and product innovation, focusing on high-impact opportunities that enhance our market position and growth trajectory.

  • Identifying acquisition and investment targets, and developing detailed business cases by analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to address overarching business objectives.
  • Leading end-to-end M&A and investment processes, including target evaluation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning.
  • Developing comprehensive financial models to assess potential transactions, including performing discounted cash flow analysis, evaluating accretion/dilution effects on earnings, and conducting comparable company analysis.
  • Crafting clear narratives and decision packets that drive alignment on strategy, deal rationale, and capital allocation.
  • Driving the product evaluation process during due diligence, including assessing the target’s product roadmap, feature set, user experience, and customer adoption metrics.
  • Conducting granular assessments of target companies' tech stacks, including architecture scalability, intellectual property portfolios, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Evaluating the scalability, usability, and technical feasibility of integrating target products into our ecosystem.
  • Developing detailed post-acquisition integration plans focused on aligning product roadmaps, strengthening go-to-market motions, and delivering a seamless customer experience.
  • Identifying and executing activities that maximize synergies between acquired assets and existing operations, focusing on generating new revenue streams and enhancing product offerings post-merger.
  • Leading and driving integration initiatives to ensure successful commercialization and adoption of acquired AI technologies across products and business units.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, venture capital, or private equity within the technology sector, with a strong focus on AI and product-driven technology transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, business, statistics or economics.
  • Proven track record of leading successful acquisitions >$100M enterprise value from sourcing through integration with a focus on product-driven outcomes.
  • Strong M&A deal execution experience, including financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiations.
  • 2+ years of product management experience in AI-driven companies is highly preferred, particularly in B2B SaaS or applied machine learning.
  • Depth of experience in AI/ML domain with understanding of LLMs, AI-driven product strategy, and commercialization of applied AI.
  • Strong numerical fluency, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to identify insights and drive high impact decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability and prior experience in using customer, market, and competitive data to create business strategy and connect it with inorganic growth initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership skills with the ability to influence at senior levels without authority to drive executive buy-in and alignment.
  • MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Domain knowledge in collaboration technologies and/or customer experience (CX) solutions is a strong plus.
