We are currently looking for a Principal Consultant with Middle-office outsourcing implementation expertise, having worked preferably within asset management & financial services sectors to join our team on permanent basis in Toronto, Ontario. The Project Manager will lead a strategic, enterprise‑level middle‑office outsourcing implementation, driving the design, integration, and delivery of next‑generation operating models across investment management functions. This role requires an innovative, pragmatic, and results‑focused leader with deep expertise in middle‑office workflows, capital markets, private markets, alternative investments, and FinTech. The ideal candidate brings a client‑centric mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to solve complex problems while guiding organizations through commercial and transformational change.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in investment management, asset management, or fund services, with a strong focus on middle‑office operations and transformation.
  • Proven track record leading large‑scale outsourcing, operating model redesign, or technology‑enabled transformation programs.
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets, private markets, alternative investments, and FinTech ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical, architectural, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
  • Experience working with IBOR, data analytics platforms, and modern middle‑office technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with EPMO and cybersecurity governance frameworks.
  • Background in business architecture or enterprise architecture disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of a middle‑office outsourcing program, including IBOR, data analytics, trade processing, cash management, and oversight functions.
  • Drive due diligence, gap analysis, prioritization, and solution design to ensure the operating model aligns with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Mange cross-functional workstreams spanning technology, operations, data, risk and vendor partners to ensure seamless execution and measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain program governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication frameworks.
  • Serve as the business architectural domain leader for Investment Management & Fund Services, shaping and enabling the strategic vision across the organization.
  • Lead analysis for proposed and pipeline initiatives to determine business value, execution feasibility, and alignment to enterprise priorities.
  • Maintain and evolve the business capability model for Investment Management & Fund Services, ensuring it reflects current and future‑state needs.
  • Partner with technology and business leaders to define target operating models, process redesign, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Apply deep understanding of middle‑office workflows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and alternative investments to design scalable, modernized solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to modernize FX trading and cash management, eliminating legacy processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Design solutions to integrate alternative investments more effectively into the product suite, bridging operational and technological gaps.
  • Oversee repatriation of services from fund administrators, reducing operational risk and aligning processes with industry best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating complex operational and technical concepts into clear business implications.
  • Champion a client‑centric approach, ensuring solutions enhance the client experience and support growth in institutional and alternative investment capabilities.
  • Drive organizational change, training, and adoption strategies to ensure successful transition to new operating models.
