Appian Customer Success is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to join their Public Sector team. This role involves engaging with public sector customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform, driving digital transformation and competitive differentiation. The consultant will lead projects throughout the entire lifecycle, including defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software and AI solutions. This includes working in an agile environment, understanding client needs, launching data models, developing APIs, partnering with Appian Architects and Technical Delivery Managers, and mentoring consultants. The role also involves brainstorming AI use cases, implementing Appian's AI tools using RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models. Collaboration with client technical teams and business users is essential, as is driving adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient. This role is based at Appian's HQ in McLean, VA, with an expectation of 4-5 days per week in the office to foster collaboration and teamwork.
