About The Position

The Principal Business Operations Analyst serves as the senior architect for designing and governing the foundational systems, data structures, and operational workflows that enable effective execution across the Weapons Operations organization. The position leads development of resource and planner codes, Oracle ERP frameworks, bill‑of‑process models, and digital process mappings that ensure accurate system inputs, full cross‑functional alignment, and seamless integration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management. By establishing core operations metrics, standardized workflow, and future‑state operational roadmaps, this team member drives transformation initiatives that strengthen data integrity, improve planning accuracy, and optimize end‑to‑end business flow. The role also partners closely with technical and operational teams, mentoring analysts and engineers while interfacing with IT/ERP stakeholders to implement automation, enhance system logic, and scale business processes across programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in business operations, production planning, supply chain, or ERP-driven manufacturing environments.
  • Deep expertise with Oracle ERP—particularly in resource code creation, planner code structure, routing/BOM integration, and execution system logic.
  • Proven experience building operational frameworks, business metrics, and enterprise data flows for large-scale or multi-site organizations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, planner activities, and the operational data required to support effective production execution.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional operational transformation initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Advanced competency with data analysis, metric development, dashboarding, and establishing performance indicators for operational health.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence leadership, guide operational teams, and translate business requirements into scalable processes.
  • Experience developing standard work, process flows, and command media for complex aerospace or defense operational environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior operational architect responsible for developing, implementing, and governing new resource codes, planner codes, and Oracle system structures across the emerging Weapons Operations organization.
  • Establish standardized operational workflows that ensure accurate system inputs, cross-functional alignment, and seamless integration between Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Define and implement core operations metrics, dashboards, and data structures used to measure execution performance, schedule adherence, resource utilization, and operational readiness.
  • Lead the creation of Operations data models, bill-of-process structures, and digital process mappings to support full lifecycle execution.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers/Quality to define effective points in the build process where operational, quality, and traceability data must be captured to support production flow and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain governance for resource code structure, planner code hierarchy, and execution rules within Oracle ERP.
  • Drive operational transformation initiatives focused on reducing bottlenecks, improving accuracy of planning data, and strengthening upstream/downstream process integration.
  • Develop standard work and reference architectures guiding Operations personnel in system usage, process flow, and data management.
  • Serve as the principal interface with IT/ERP system teams to implement new modules, automate data flows, and optimize planning and execution functionality.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to define business requirements, validate system logic, and ensure operational process consistency across programs.
  • Mentor and support Material Analysts, Planners, and Manufacturing Engineers on proper system usage, operational metrics, and best-practice workflows.
  • Own development of future-state Operations capability roadmap—including digital transformation, automation opportunities, and scalable organizational structures.
