About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking world-class candidates to help the Telecom industry achieve the modernization of their IT, OSS and BSS stacks globally. The primary objective is to drive exponential growth and develop AWS-Native and Partner joint go-to-market strategies. The role involves establishing and growing business and technical relationships to drive revenue growth and market adoption of AWS IT, OSS, and BSS solutions for the Telco Sector globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong business and sales background, enabling them to interact effectively with CXOs and enterprise customers. They should also demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and to articulate compelling value propositions. Experience in the Telco Sector, specifically in IT, OSS, and BSS domains, along with knowledge of Mainframe modernization, is highly desired.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 10+ years of solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry experience
  • 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • 10+ years of experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • 10+ years of experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
  • Extensive experience in sales, business, strategic account management in telecom industry.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills.

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
  • Experience working within Telco Sector and Specifically in IT, OSS and BSS domains
  • Knowledge of Main Frame modernization
  • Experience working within virtual and cross functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Work backwards from the customer's C-suite and articulate strong, high-grow strategic deals.
  • Back-feed field insights to AWS Service Teams, Marketing, AWS Services and Partner organization as well as AWS Professional Services.
  • Define and execute high impact, business development and go-to-market programs including partners.
  • Define and deliver industry solutions and supporting collateral.
  • Liaise with the AWS field sales organization, channels and end customers to help create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
  • Help create and execute a key business development plan for target markets and ensure alignment with the AWS strategic direction and working with key internal stakeholders.
  • Build and articulate business plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage, influence, and present to C-level executives.
  • Present and articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Build a territory strategy to ensure both short and long-term goals, objectives and targets are met.
  • Scout the industry, customers and partners to seek where we can maximize impact through the adoption of AWS Native Services and best practices in Application migration and modernization.
  • Follow up on ongoing customer engagements.
  • Create and update sales enablement collaterals.
  • Work on strategic initiatives for the year.
