About The Position

As a Principal Associate- Medicaid, you bring deep policy and management
consulting experience to support Medicaid implementation efforts. In this role,
you will serve in a leadership capacity on Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS)–funded projects, while also contributing to business development
initiatives across Abt’s health policy portfolio.

You will maintain trusted partnerships with federal agencies and sponsors, as
well as with Abt partners and consultants, and you will be regarded within key
federal and state agencies and organizations as a subject matter expert. You
will demonstrate the ability to lead and direct large, complex projects, drawing
on your understanding of the Medicaid policy landscape, strong project and
financial management fundamentals, and proven experience successfully leading
multidisciplinary project teams.

where you will both participate in and lead major projects, direct proposal
efforts, and build and sustain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in directing large implementation projects, preferably with CMS.
• Position also requires significant experience in project and program development and client relationship management and proven track record of project leadership.
• Experience working on projects related to Medicaid managed care
• Master’s Degree + Fifteen years of relevant experience, or PhD + Ten years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as project director for large HHS implementation projects.
• Participate with other senior staff in CMS business development activities by obtaining additional work from existing clients or by identifying new opportunities.
• Guide and lead the preparation and review of project reports and findings.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to team(s).
• Support business development efforts related to health policy implementation work, particularly in the Medicaid domain.
