About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate, HR Business Partner to join a team of HR consulting leaders focused on enabling game-changing business results by providing programs and solutions that unleash greatness in associates. The FS HRBP team is specifically hiring this Principal Associate to support key HR priorities for Emerging Talent, focusing on the end-to-end talent strategy for early-career professional programs, including undergraduate and graduate hires. The role involves shaping the associate journey with dynamic ideas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of client facing experience OR at least 2 years of consulting experience OR a combination
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • Professional Human Resources Certification or Project Management Professional Certification or combination
  • 3+ years of client facing experience or 3+ years of consulting experience or a combination

Responsibilities

  • Elevate the Onboarding Experience: Partner with business leaders to design and launch programs that help our newest hires hit the ground running from day one.
  • Bring Learning to Life: Create engaging presentations, communications, and training materials and lead sessions with students and grads as well as people leaders.
  • Build Career Pathways: Create targeted development programs that grow critical skills, support career progression, and future-proof our teams.
  • Champion Early-Career Talent: Lead performance management, promotion cycles, and talent reviews specifically tailored for our analyst and graduate cohorts.
  • End to End Planning & Execution: Project manage key HR initiatives (Students & Grads welcome event, cross functional skill development, & graduation events) with sharp attention to detail, acting as the primary connection between our student/graduate talent and senior executives.
