About The Position

If so, Guardian is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a HR Business Partner. In this role, you will provide essential support to the HR team and play a crucial role in driving HR initiatives across the Financial Planning & Retirement Solutions (FPRS) and Finance and Risk organizations. Working closely with HR Leaders, you will assist in delivering a broad range of HR projects and partnering with various business units to support their human resources needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop HR expertise and project management skills while contributing to the overall success of the organization. You will Support and partner with HR Talent Partner Leaders in delivering comprehensive HR services, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and training and development. Assist in preparing data and facilitation techniques to develop insights into key initiatives and change management. Build productive relationships with front line People Leaders, providing coaching and guidance on HR matters. Partner with HR Analytics team to drive proactive reporting around turnover, retirement/succession risk, internal mobility and hiring trends. Assist in implementing and executing key HR processes (performance management, calibration sessions, compensation planning, onboarding, talent management) to deliver talent management outcomes. Lead Learning nomination process for assigned client groups, leverage data to determine eligibility for courses and partner with People Leaders to solicit nominations. Partner with HR Talent Partner Leaders on Talent Management initiatives including talent reviews, internal mobility opportunities with High Potential colleagues. Support the early career rotational program for our Finance and Risk organization. Assist in preparing pitch decks or communications to leaders. Champion company purpose and values with colleagues and leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compliance, Risk, or a related field.
  • 2- 4 years’ experience in HR or a related role preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain an elevated level of professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (ideally Workday) is a plus.
