About The Position

The Principal Business Process Analyst - Asset Lifecycle Optimization will lead complex business process improvement initiatives across OCI’s data center asset lifecycle. OCI’s infrastructure lifecycle spans purchasing, receiving, deployment, inventory management, repair, reuse, redeployment, recovery, decommissioning, disposition, and financial reconciliation. As OCI continues to scale, fragmented processes, disconnected systems, inconsistent data, and manual reconciliation create operational effort, financial exposure, and missed opportunities to recover asset value. This role will identify and quantify lifecycle inefficiencies, determine root causes, define future-state business processes and controls, translate business needs into process and system requirements, and drive improvements through implementation and sustainment. The position partners across Data Center Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other technical and business teams. The successful candidate will combine strong business process analysis, data-driven problem solving, continuous improvement, stakeholder influence, and operational judgment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience independently leading complex business process improvement initiatives, using operational data to identify root causes and measure outcomes, translating business objectives into process and system requirements, and influencing technical and business stakeholders across organizational boundaries. The role requires strong structured problem solving, operational judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with limited direction. This is an individual contributor role focused on creating durable mechanisms and measurable business outcomes rather than coordinating activity or maintaining manual processes. NOTE: this role is based in Nashville, TN and is in the office 5 days a week. Relocation assistance is available for those that qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex asset lifecycle business process improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and sustainment, operating independently across non-routine and ambiguous problem areas.
  • Identify and quantify lifecycle waste, recurring manual work, reconciliation effort, stranded or excess inventory, process exceptions, control gaps, and opportunities to improve asset utilization or recovery.
  • Analyze operational and system data to establish baselines, identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and measure business outcomes.
  • Define scalable future-state business processes, controls, ownership models, exception paths, and measurable success criteria.
  • Translate business objectives into clear process, data, control, reporting, and system requirements.
  • Improve trust in asset lifecycle data by defining critical data requirements, ownership expectations, source-of-truth principles, and reconciliation mechanisms.
  • Drive process improvements across asset movement, inventory integrity, reuse, redeployment, recovery, disposition, and related lifecycle workflows, partnering with accountable program and domain owners.
  • Apply lean and continuous improvement principles to eliminate unnecessary process steps, duplicate handling, recurring exceptions, and manual reconciliation.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations using measurable operational and financial outcomes such as cycle time, reconciliation effort, exception rates, asset utilization, recovery value, and avoided spend.
  • Partner with engineering, product, automation, and business teams to replace recurring manual work with scalable workflows and controls.
  • Drive alignment and accountable execution across matrixed technical and business organizations without direct authority, presenting recommendations and obtaining stakeholder agreement on process, control, and system changes.
  • Support operational implementation and adoption to ensure redesigned processes remain effective after transition.
  • Provide leadership-ready analysis, recommendations, decision support, risk summaries, and clear articulation of trade-offs and dependencies.
  • Provide functional guidance and mentoring in business process analysis, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.
