This role is for a Principal Applications Engineer with deep semiconductor expertise and a strong customer-facing mindset. The ideal candidate can bridge technical depth with real-world customer needs, helping teams navigate IP integration, silicon bring-up, debug, and methodology challenges with credibility and urgency. The role requires understanding the end-to-end IP lifecycle, from design and verification through implementation, signoff, validation, and post-silicon learning. The candidate should be comfortable operating across analog, mixed-signal, and digital environments, and know how to translate technical issues into clear actions that improve product quality, customer outcomes, and execution discipline. The role requires strong technical credibility, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to work across R&D, Application Engineering, Verification, Quality, and Program Management to solve complex customer challenges. The motivation is to reduce execution risk, improve team readiness, and help deliver high-quality IP with confidence.

Requirements

BSEE, BSCE, MSEE, MSCE, or an advanced degree, plus 10+ years of experience in semiconductor design, verification, methodology, quality, applications engineering, or related technical leadership roles
Strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal or digital IP development, verification, integration, and signoff, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple engineering domains
For digital candidates, experience in areas such as RTL quality, lint, CDC, RDC, low-power verification, UPF, X-propagation, formal verification, coverage closure, gate-level simulation, and verification signoff; for analog or mixed-signal candidates, experience in design and verification methodologies, behavioral modeling, integration, signoff, silicon bring-up, and post-silicon debug
Proven ability to lead customer-facing technical engagements, assess risk, influence cross-functional teams, and drive practical improvements using tools and platforms such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Jira

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior customer-facing technical leader for strategic accounts, guiding quality, methodology, and execution discussions across IP adoption, integration, silicon bring-up, and ongoing product use
Partner across R&D, Verification, Methodology, Quality, Program Management, and Application Engineering to identify technical risks, strengthen engineering practices, and improve release readiness
Translate customer feedback, bring-up findings, and debug issues into clear cross-functional action plans that address root causes, close methodology gaps, and improve future execution
Drive proactive problem-solving, metrics, and continuous-improvement practices that reduce escalations, improve signoff confidence, and strengthen customer trust
