About The Position

This is a senior technical role that performs highly complex health outcome analyses using complex tools and data sets. Provides senior level analytical leadership for a wide range of projects. Develops, documents and ensures the accuracy of this complex work. Develops and manages internal and partner client relationships and projects related to clinical performance and health outcomes research.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience - or - High School/GED and at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience should be in healthcare related research or analytics.
• Degree should be in a healthcare or analytics related field such as statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, economics. social or actuarial sciences.
• At least 2 years of experience manipulating complex data sets.
• Experience in expert use of advanced quantitative methods.
• Experience contributing to complex analytical projects from conceptualization through completion.
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: changing picture styles, customizing animation and/or setting automatic slide timings).
• Advanced level experience with SAS programming or comparable.
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or Associate of the Society of Actuaries credential with at least 6 years of experience -or- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience.
• Experience should be in healthcare related research or analytics.
• Degree should be in a healthcare or analytics related field such as statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, economics. social or actuarial sciences.
• At least 6 years of experience manipulating complex data sets.
• PhD in public health, statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, or social or health sciences.
• Experience authoring published manuscripts in peer reviewed journal publications.
• For those who will do actuarial work, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) credential.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
• Experience presenting and reporting on analytical results to appropriate stakeholders including executive level leadership as well as external clients.

Responsibilities

• Designs highly complex level studies, models, reports, and analyses.
• Pulls and stages highly complex data sets.
• Analyzes data or develops models using highly complex techniques such as neural networks, logistic regressions, factor analyses, and multivariate data reduction techniques.
• Uses expert knowledge of advanced analytical tools such as SAS in highly complex data analyses.
• Uses expert knowledge of ICD9/10, CPT4, NDC, lab data, and other clinical fields in highly complex analyses.
• Leads communications and manages relationship with clients (internal and external) and vendors.
• May indirectly manage others to complete projects.
