Principal Analyst, Data Governance and AI Readiness

Boston Scientific•Maple Grove, MA

About The Position

The Principal Analyst, Data Governance and AI Readiness defines, implements, and enforces data governance frameworks so enterprise data is understood, shareable, standardized, and ready for AI. The role works directly with the Senior Manager, Data Strategy and supports Finance data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, data catalogs, semantic models, and standardized data meanings that are readable by people and machines. The role leads complex cross-functional initiatives, resolves governance issues and stakeholder priorities, communicates progress and risks to senior leaders, and helps ensure that solutions use approved business definitions, semantic models, certified data products, and authoritative metadata. It also partners with business and technical teams on data product metrics, regulatory compliance, and governance adoption. As the team grows, the analyst may mentor junior analysts and serve as a subject-matter expert.
