About The Position

U.S. Financial Technology (U.S. FinTech) is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time remote opportunity. U.S. FinTech operates the largest and most advanced mortgage securitization platform globally, supporting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS). They handle 70% of the mortgage-backed securities in the market, offering services for single-family issuance, bond administration, disclosure, and tax. Their cloud-based platform executes transactions at scale, enhancing liquidity in the secondary mortgage market. The company combines financial services expertise with technological innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data governance, metadata management and platform DevOps administration.
  • Hands-on experience with governance workflow execution within Collibra DIP or other equivalent platform/applications.
  • Working knowledge of governance frameworks (DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, NIST) and data quality principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to partner across business, risk and technology teams.
  • Strong analytical, planning and communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with internal and external business and IT teams.
  • Continuous learning and innovative mindset, especially towards AI-enabled data management and governance solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to learn modern technologies.
  • Possession of excellent communication, analytics and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building reports or dashboards for governance and KPI monitoring.
  • Risk Management, Information Security, Privacy and Compliance related experience.
  • Direct experience with industry frameworks, including DMBOK, EDM DCAM or EDM CDMC.
  • Direct experience with data analytics and BI tools.
  • Knowledge of Cloud data technologies in AWS, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily governance operations across catalog, lineage, and data classification/tagging processes.
  • Partners with data governance program lead and solution architects to drive consistent process adoption across domains.
  • Supports data stewards’ successful adoption of tool-based governance processes and monitors execution.
  • Operationalizes governance standards and control-based processes.
  • Generates risk and audit evidence of governance workflows execution.
  • Develops process-related SOPs, user guides, and trainings.
  • Supports Data Governance program execution, Data classification tagging, catalog and lineage management, stewardship engagement and tool-based processes adoption.
  • Supports Governance tool-based processes design and execution.
  • Supports Audit, risk and compliance inquiries.
  • Collaborates and contributes to the creation and execution of a strategic data governance roadmap.
  • Manages timely execution of data cataloging, lineage and sensitivity tagging processes in Collibra, MS Purview and other governance platforms.
  • Defines and assists with the technical design, configuration, and deployment of governance platforms (Collibra, MS Purview, other tools).
  • Develops and maintains SOPs, user guides, and user training.
  • Onboards and supports data stewards, ensuring compliance with governance workflows.
  • Collaborates with compliance, risk, and audit teams to validate control effectiveness and prepare required evidence.
  • Monitors, measures, and maintains the health of data catalog, lineage products/assets, process workflows, and marketplace content for usability.
  • Explores and identifies opportunities to collaborate with governance team members to improve/automate governance workflows and improve user experience.
  • Collaborates closely with the team to enhance system components for scalability, performance, and self-service enablement.
  • Partners with the team to evaluate and pilot AI driven governance solutions.
  • Embraces agile work practices for iterative backlog/sprint planning, prioritization, sprint delivery reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Fosters a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture and demonstrates organization’s values, ethics, and compliance standards.
