About The Position

Strategically analyze data from diverse sources using advanced predictive modeling, statistics, and trend analysis to drive informed decision-making and optimize business performance. This expert-level role applies broad business knowledge and strategic insight about emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results. The position leads critical, high-impact projects, designs and implements innovative business strategies, works with minimal oversight, frequently consults senior leadership, and influences executive decisions. It also serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues. The role performs very complex advanced analytics work, creates new ways of analyzing data, builds very complex business models, and makes recommendations that impact an entire business unit or a very large, complex sector. It is a full-time onsite position performed at the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered. Special approval from the Compensation Job Family Owner is required.

Requirements

At least 7 years of related experience.
Certification is required in some areas.
Expertise in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis, and complex business modeling.
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL and/or data warehouse storage such as Snowflake or Databricks Delta Lake.
Ability to analyze data from internal and external sources, including data lakes and data warehouses such as eCDW and BIDW.
Ability to use advanced statistical methods and traditional modeling techniques to support decision-making.
Ability to build and test predictive models and verify their real-world accuracy.
Ability to develop visualizations and advise business partners on data patterns and relationships.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree (MS/MA) from an accredited university in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics is desired.
Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Tableau, Palantir, Power BI AI Insights, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Synapse, and H2O Driverless AI.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse internal and external data sets to solve business problems, predict behaviors, and identify causal relationships, trigger points, and predictions.
Apply advanced statistical methods to quantify data variances and use traditional modeling techniques to support decision-making.
Develop business cases and complex models using big data analytics tools for modeling and process integration.
Build and test predictive models on data samples and verify their accuracy in real-world scenarios, including models such as linear or logistic regression and time series.
Develop dashboards, reports, charts, and other visualizations.
Advise business partners on data patterns and relationships and recommend strategic directions, business outcomes, or improvements to processes, financials, and business models.
Lead critical, high-impact projects and design and implement innovative business strategies.
Consult senior leadership, influence executive decisions, and mentor others on challenging issues.
