Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Proven track record of successfully leading quality initiatives
  • Demonstrated success identifying and leading continuous improvement projects
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of APQP / AS9145
  • Strong background in SAP and Solumina
  • Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 standards and requirements

Responsibilities

  • Implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure that all products comply with relevant regulatory, industry, and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality processes.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Prepare for and support external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Create and implement standard work procedures for key quality processes.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality controls and best practices across the site.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product quality.
  • Prepare and present performance trends to cross functional management and other stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Lead investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Lead the execution of quality initiatives and projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Create and execute quality plans for the successful introduction of new products, including risk assessments, process validations, and first article inspections, to ensure that new products meet all quality and performance criteria before full-scale production.
