About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am). This role involves mixing and measuring paint per specifications, reviewing work orders, cleaning and painting parts according to specifications and thickness, maintaining paint booth filters and cleanliness, performing post-paint inspections, and observing safety regulations. The position also requires maintaining paint equipment and completing daily checklists and paperwork. Advanced skills are needed to adapt to complex or non-routine situations. The company offers on-the-job training and opportunities for growth.

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) (Required)
  • 1 plus years of experience in Aircraft Painting

Responsibilities

  • Mix and measure paint per specifications.
  • Review work order and confirm mixed paint and part match, prior to painting in the booth.
  • Clean parts as per specification.
  • Paint part according to specification and thickness.
  • Keep paint booth filters changed, booth FOD free, and complete paperwork.
  • Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
  • Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
  • Apply advanced skills to adapt and meet complex or non-routine situations.
  • Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
  • Complete the paint daily checklist.
  • Properly utilize all PPE required under OSA Guidelines.
  • Maintain all paint equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
