About The Position

Larsen & Shaw, a leading manufacturer of top-quality custom and standard continuous hinges, architectural products, custom metal stampings and laser cut parts since 1919, is seeking a Primary Press Operator for their Production Department. This is a permanent, full-time position on the afternoon shift, Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Requirements

Technical and mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail and ability to follow work processes
Some computer skills, like Microsoft 365
A desire to grow with the company
Willingness to learn and work in a team-centered environment
Completion of high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience operating presses, preferred
Driver’s license, preferred

Responsibilities

Set up equipment and produce parts according to drawings and specified quality standards
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production
Perform in-process inspections, including verification and sign-off of first-off parts
Identify, report, and support resolution of non-conformance in materials and processes
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions; assist with preventative maintenance
Participate in process improvements, corrective actions, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support new product development activities
Operate additional presses or equipment as required
Carry out other duties as assigned, including supporting higher-priority production needs in other areas
