About The Position

Safro Staffing is partnering with a behavioral health and addiction treatment organization seeking a dedicated Primary Counselor to provide individual and group counseling services within a behavioral health and substance use treatment environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, developing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, facilitating therapy sessions, and supporting clients throughout the treatment process.

Requirements

Master's Degree preferred in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
Bachelor's Degree with relevant behavioral health experience considered.
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
CADC, CAADC, LPC, LSW, or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling services across multiple levels of care.
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and screenings.
Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
Facilitate psychoeducational groups, process groups, and clinical workshops.
Monitor client progress and update treatment plans accordingly.
Communicate with family members and support systems regarding treatment progress.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Coordinate care with referral sources and outside providers.
Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision.
Support discharge planning and continuing care coordination.
