About The Position

This position reports to the manager/director and, according to departmental policies and nursing care standards, assists in overseeing and directing the work of nursing personnel. The role involves providing patient/nursing care services to patients on assigned shifts. The Primary Charge RN demonstrates accountability for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, enhancing the patient/family experience, and providing effective leadership to contribute to the organization's objectives. Responsibilities include determining work priorities, preparing daily work assignments, and serving as a resource person for unit personnel to resolve operational and patient care problems. This role requires the RN to be scheduled and work 11 out of every 12 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS and ACLS, PALS, or other certification as required by unit.
• 2 years of experience on the unit or similar unit required.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively lead and direct the work of other employees in order to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians.
