About The Position

DePaul Community Health Centers in Louisiana and Arkansas, part of Ascension Community Health Ministries, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to provide medical care and therapeutic management of acute and chronic illness in a clinic setting. The organization operates ten Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Greater New Orleans area and clinics in Dumas, Arkansas, and is committed to improving community health and continuing its tradition of service. The role is comprehensive in scope and includes coordinating patients’ overall health management, including preventative and curative care addressing physical, behavioral, and sociological needs. The physician works closely with in-house specialists and hospitals to deliver high-quality community health care. The preferred candidate can see both adults and children.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited university, obtained before the hire or transfer date.
Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana, or eligible for a Louisiana State Medical Board license.
Current state and federal DEA certification.
Board certified or board eligible.
Current Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on the scope of services.
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
