Primary Care Physician
About The Position
CenterWell in The Villages, Florida, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide relationship-based, value-focused outpatient care to adult and senior patients. The position is based onsite at one of eight primary care centers and uses a team-based model with manageable patient panels, an average of 12–14 patients per day, dedicated administrative time, and a dedicated NP/PA and two clinical assistants supporting the physician’s panel. The practice focuses on personalized, preventive care and chronic disease management in a senior community. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no nights, required weekends, hospital rounding, or hospital call. The role has a light call schedule and reports to the Physician Lead. This patient-facing role participates in Humana/Senior Bridge’s TB screening program; selected candidates must undergo TB screening.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Board certification or board eligibility in family medicine, internal medicine, or geriatric medicine; candidates who are board eligible must become board certified within two years of employment.
- Valid, unrestricted Florida license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Must undergo TB screening if selected for this patient-facing role.
Responsibilities
