About The Position

CenterWell Primary Care, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is looking for a primary care physician for our clinic in the Villages, FL. As a Primary Care Physician, you will report to the Associate Medical Director. You will be onsite and in-person at the CenterWell Villages, FL clinic. A day in the life of a CenterWell physician involves working Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, seeing 12-15 patients per day with longer authorized appointments of 45 minutes. You will be on-site at the clinic.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Board certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain)
• Current, unrestricted DEA license
• Screened for TB
• Minimum of two+ years of experience
• 1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients
• Associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency.
• Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Responsibilities

• See 12-15 patients per day
• Conduct longer authorized appointments (45 minutes)
• Provide proactive, preventive care to seniors, including wellness visits, physical exams, chronic condition management, screenings, and minor injury treatment.
• Focus on personalized experiences, taking time to listen, learn and address the factors that impact patient well-being.
• Work as part of an integrated care team, which may include nurses, behavioral health specialists, and others.
• Spend up to 50 percent more time with patients, providing compassionate, personalized care that brings better health outcomes.
• Address factors beyond physical health that can impact a patient’s well-being.
