About The Position

Optima Medical is an Arizona-based medical group consisting of 30 locations and over 130 medical providers, caring for more than 200,000 patients statewide. We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to promote and maintain patients’ health by providing high-quality, patient-centered care. As a Physician, you will be expected to conduct physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and manage patients’ overall health. You will serve as both a clinical provider and an advocate for disease prevention, supporting patients on their path toward improved wellness. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is highly valued. A collaborative spirit and positive attitude are a must, as you will work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Primary Care Physician in an outpatient setting
  • Strong knowledge of primary, acute, and chronic care management
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong clinical judgment and ethical standards
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient examinations and review medical histories
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, prevention, and wellness
  • Promote evidence-based health practices
  • Maintain clinical competency and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to Physician Assistants in accordance with applicable regulations
