Primary Care Physician
About The Position
The Primary Care Physician provides outpatient medicine focused on continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. The physician maintains medical histories and records and refers patients to specialists as needed. The role begins to influence department strategy and makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues concerning technical approaches for project components. Work is performed without direction, with considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. The role is patient-facing and participates in Humana/Senior Bridge's tuberculosis screening program, requiring TB screening if selected. The physician must be willing to participate in limited on-call coverage by phone. The position is with CenterWell Senior Primary Care, whose care model provides proactive, preventive and personalized care to seniors through integrated care teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five or more years of technical experience.
- Meet licensure requirements for the state of jurisdiction.
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program at an accredited university.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Must be willing to participate in limited on-call coverage by phone.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
- Must complete tuberculosis screening if selected for this patient-facing role.
