About The Position

Praxis Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician for their Pearl Street Medical location in Eugene, Oregon. This full-time position involves addressing the health maintenance of patients, assessing and treating common conditions, and providing long-term care for adults and children, potentially including entire households. The role requires applying physician knowledge and skills, responding to patient situations, assessing injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures, completing patient documentation, and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, or the equivalent foreign degree.
  • If qualifying by an equivalent foreign degree, must have a certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
  • Equivalent foreign degree must be determined by a qualified education evaluation agency.
  • Active Oregon medical license, or eligibility to obtain such license.
  • For Medical Doctors, completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 & 3; or, for Doctors of Osteopathy, Comprehensive Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA).
  • Completion of a US medical residency program in Family Medicine.
  • Board certification or Board eligibility for Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Address health maintenance of patients.
  • Assess and treat conditions that occur in everyday life such as sinus and respiratory infections, intestinal ailments, and broken bones.
  • Provide regular, long-term care for adult and child patients, potentially including all members of the same household.
  • Apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties of a physician in providing medical care.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency patient situations.
  • Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed.
  • Complete patient care forms and documentation.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to providing medical care to patients.
  • Perform other duties as required to provide medical care.
