About The Position

Primary Care Physician Patients deserve primary care that treats the whole person and takes plant-based medicines as seriously as any other therapy. In this role you will build a trusted panel, close care gaps, and turn clinical judgment into outcomes that patients can feel and the organization can measure. You will practice at the intersection of medicine, evidence, and regulated cannabis-based treatment—where curiosity, rigor, and bedside skill matter equally.

Requirements

  • Licensed physician in good standing, eligible to practice primary care in the jurisdiction of the role.
  • Demonstrated management of complex chronic illness, polypharmacy, and shared decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of medical cannabis indications, contraindications, dosing principles, and local regulatory requirements—or a clear plan to reach that standard quickly.
  • Habit of writing clear notes and care plans that another clinician can act on.
  • Comfort in a small organization where you both deliver care and improve how care is delivered.
  • Commitment to evidence over advocacy, and to declining treatment that is not in the patient’s interest.

Nice To Haves

  • Practice where primary care and specialty medicine are designed together, not bolted on.
  • Influence protocols early, you bring your voice to the table
  • Physician-led model with a track to partnership
  • Work beside scientists and operators who treat patient outcomes as the product, not the numbers.
  • Keep a scope narrow enough to know your patients, broad enough to matter.
  • If you want to practice rigorous primary care and help define responsible cannabis-based medicine, apply with a short note on a patient outcome you are proud of and the clinical standard you will not compromise.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and retain a defined patient panel, with access, continuity, and follow-up that meet agreed clinical standards.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans, including appropriate evaluation of medical cannabis where clinically indicated and legally permitted.
  • Reduce avoidable acute visits and medication-related harm by coordinating chronic-disease management, deprescribing when safer, and documenting clear treatment goals.
  • Contribute structured clinical observations that improve protocols, patient education, and the evidence base for cannabis-based care.
  • Partner with nursing, pharmacy, and allied clinicians so referrals, labs, and treatment changes close within defined timelines.
  • Maintain complete, defensible records and prescribing practices that satisfy medical regulators and quality review.
  • Earn patient trust: high satisfaction, informed consent, and shared decisions patients can explain back in their own words.

Benefits

  • Flexible scheduling - your work life balance will always come first
